Everyday is Play Kickstarter: Do we still care to read?

Everyday is Play is a book dedicated to video game art. Some people might say it’s basically a collection of tumblr images in one hardbound book. But is that the way of everything now?

When you purchase a retail version of a game, you no longer get even a full fleshed out manual inside. It may as well contain on the game disc. Unless you pay extra for special editions, stuff like artbooks have to be sought after. With the internet providing us with images and videos, including behind the scene dev footage or artist’s work, do we have any interest in owning a book full of pictures made by other people?

That’s a question that will obviously come back with various results, but for now if you do think that this sort of gaming merchandise has a place, then check out the kickstarter here.
